Bindl is a purpose-driven platform connecting people with nature through expert-led, hands-on experiences in conservation, outdoor skills, and sustainable living. We work with specialists from different fields to create and host meaningful events - from wildlife tracking to foraging, citizen science to rewilding projects.
Our mission is to expand our gamified, community-powered ecosystem where anyone can learn, act, and grow through nature; building real impact while documenting their personal and collective journeys.
The Role & Compensation
We're looking for a Technical Co-Founder / CTO to join us at this exciting stage. You will take the lead on re-developing our platform (currently in MVP), bringing the product vision to life, and shaping the future tech stack and architecture of Bindl.
While we have the ability to pay developers from our current budget, we're looking for a true partner - someone who sees the long-term vision and wants to shape it with us. This is not a standard employee role, but a co-founder position, where shared ownership and commitment matter most.
We’re offering equity compensation during the initial phase, with the clear intent to transition to a salaried CTO role after our next funding round (planned for this year). We’re open to discussing a setup that’s fair for both sides, and we believe the right person will value the opportunity to build, lead, and grow alongside a mission-driven team.
What You’ll Do
- Own and drive the full technical vision and development of the Bindl platform (web & mobile).
- Rebuild and iterate the MVP based on market feedback and a new product roadmap.
- Oversee development of key features: event management, profile matching, gamification, impact tracking, and social community tools.
- Integrate smart analytics, maps, and AI-powered features (personalization, matchmaking).
- Build and lead a future tech team.
Who You Are
- A full-stack developer or technical architect with experience in building scalable platforms (React/Next.js, Node.js, Firebase, or preferred stack).
- Strong experience with APIs, platform architecture, and ideally gamification or community-driven products.
- Excited about nature, learning, sustainability, or the outdoors — or simply about building something that matters.
- A doer, not just a planner. Comfortable in uncertainty. Motivated by purpose as much as profit.
- Bonus: Experience in marketplaces, social networks, or gamified platforms.
