Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Renewables Energy - Utrecht
Company Overview:
I'm currently partnered with a leading renewable energy company based in Utrecht, committed to driving the transition to clean and sustainable energy sources.
As they're expanding their operations, they are seeking a CTO to lead their technology strategy and drive innovation within our organization.
Role Overview:
As the CTO, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's technological vision, strategies, and development efforts. You will lead a team of talented engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of our technology initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company's technology vision and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and business stakeholders, to define technology requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for technology adoption and investment.
- Drive the development and implementation of scalable and robust software systems, with a strong focus on Node.js and related technologies.
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with external technology vendors and partners.
- Drive a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology team.
- Manage the technology budget and resources effectively.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the renewable energy sector.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of software engineering principles, best practices, and modern software development methodologies.
- Previous experience in the renewable energy or clean tech industry is highly desirable.
- Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, including software engineers, architects, and product managers.
- Strategic mindset.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
