We are New10, a financial service scale-up initiated by ABN AMRO Bank. At New10 we believe that business financing should be easy and accessible. Our purpose is to empower businesses to access the funding they need. Though our mission is simple, our ambition is bold: become the #1 engine powering North-West European SMEs.
We are on a quest to transform the financing ecosystem by using the speed and innovative strength of a fintech with the expertise and funding of a bank to deliver a fast, simple, and clear financing experience to SMEs. To support our growth towards this ambition, we’re looking for a new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Your new role
Within New10, our Tech platform is our biggest asset in digitalizing and automating the customer-journeys of Entrepreneurs. We have a modern technology stack of microservices on a Serverless architecture on AWS, combined with Salesforce as our CRM, and Mambu as our core banking solution.
Currently the Technology Department of New10 consists of around 50 FTE. With the current CTO stepping down, we are looking for a new CTO to further define our technology strategy and execute on those plans in the coming years. You will be part of the management team and directly reporting to the CEO. You will be managing the VP of Engineering, Lead Architect, Office IT Lead, Business Information Security Officer, and their team(s).

As an experienced CTO you will be responsible for leading our organization's technological vision, strategies, and execution. You will act as the strategic leader for the IT department and oversee the development, implementation, and management of all technological aspects within New10.
Thus, we are looking for a seasoned CTO who:

Thus, we are looking for a seasoned CTO who:
- has technical proficiency and a strong foundation in technology (important: Microservices, Event-Driven Design, Cybersecurity, Emerging Technologies)
- holds exceptional leadership skills for guiding and motivating the technology team
- can strategically think and has the ability to align technology strategies with broader business goals and industry trends
- shows decisive decision-making and can identify and solve complex technological challenges
- understands SME lending's industry, market dynamics, and competitive landscape
- can build strong relationships with external partners, industry peers, and stakeholders
- is skilled in managing complex IT projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Requirements
Are you our ideal candidate and interested to take this role and join the team? Then you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar education
- At least 5 years in a role as CTO or CIO in a FinTech (or similar) organization
- A proven record of managing high-performing development teams
- Experience in managing large budgets (10mio+)
- Deep knowledge of industry trends and best practices
- A background in FinTech and/or (business) lending
