About the Company

With a robust product suite covering payments, digital banking, compliance, and financial infrastructure, they are entering a new phase of global expansion and digital transformation. They are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead their technology organisation, drive innovation at scale, and strengthen their position as a category leader.
Role Overview
The CTO will define and execute a forward-looking technology strategy, overseeing engineering, architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technical operations. This role combines executive leadership with deep technical insight, requiring someone capable of scaling global platforms, building high-performing teams, and navigating the complexity of regulated financial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the long-term technology vision in alignment with business goals
Lead distributed engineering teams across Europe and other global hubs
Ensure robust, secure, and compliant systems across all fintech platforms and services
Drive modernization of architecture and migration to scalable, cloud-native infrastructure
Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and Data to deliver resilient, user-centric solutions
Champion innovation in areas such as AI, machine learning, blockchain, or open banking
Oversee technical due diligence and integration for strategic partnerships or M&A
Represent technology leadership to the board, regulators, and key stakeholders
Ideal Candidate Profile
10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in technology leadership at scale (CTO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent)
Proven success in a regulated financial services or fintech environment
Deep understanding of cloud architecture (AWS/GCP), microservices, and DevSecOps
Familiarity with key fintech domains (e.g. payments, compliance, KYC/AML, PSD2, open banking)
Strong security and risk management background
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience managing multi-country or nearshore/offshore tech teams
