The Role:
We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who is not just a skilled technologist, but also a product visionary. As the CEO, I come from a non-technical background, so I am searching for a trusted partner to take charge of the technical aspects and help shape the future of our platform. You will play a critical role in defining both the technology roadmap and product strategy as we scale. Ideally, you have experience in startup environments (especially if you’ve founded or co-founded a startup) and are passionate about developing innovative products that meet market needs.
Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tech and building products.
- Lead the technical vision and ensure it aligns with the overall product vision and business goals.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO to define the product strategy and prioritize the development roadmap.
- Build and manage a technical team, hiring engineers and other tech talent as needed.
- Oversee the architecture, development, and deployment of our platform, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to execution, ensuring the platform evolves to meet user needs.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and innovations to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Lead the effort to ensure compliance and security standards are met.
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and ownership within the technical team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CTO or similar technical leadership role, preferably in a startup environment. Experience as a founder or co-founder is a strong plus.
- Strong expertise in product management and the ability to shape a product from idea to launch.
- Deep knowledge of full-stack development and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
- Experience building scalable systems and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as PHP Symfony, MySQL/MariaDB, Firebase and Elasticsearch for effective data management to our platform’s needs.
- A hands-on approach to development and problem-solving.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with a non-technical CEO and guide the technical direction of the company.
- A visionary mindset and passion for product development, with a strong desire to create something innovative.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Interest in influencer marketing or social media is a plus.
