About the Role
Overview
CoralTree Hospitality (CTH) is seeking a Denver-based Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead enterprise technology strategy across a diverse portfolio of lifestyle hotels, resorts, and hospitality assets, as well as the CTH home office IT functions. The CTO will serve as a strategic partner to each organizational function, driving innovation that enhances guest experience, operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and long-term scalability, all while ensuring a secure, resilient, and compliant technology environment.
The CTO will be a member of the CTH Round Table (executive team) and will interact closely with all executive functions. This role balances vision, strategy, and execution, overseeing hospitality platforms, enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and vendor relationships while aligning technology investments with CTH’s performance goals and culture.
Responsibilities
Innovation & Technology Strategy
- Develop and execute a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with CTH’s growth strategy, Standards of Care, and operational priorities.
- Champion digital systems initiatives across guest experience, revenue management, operations, marketing, and owner reporting.
- Collaborate with CTH division leaders and property leaders to optimize technology systems and resources that improve all functions and forms of our business.
- Identify, evaluate, and deploy emerging technologies (AI, data analytics, automation, cloud platforms, mobile solutions, guest-facing applications, improved business practices).
- Partner with executive leadership and property teams to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.
- Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Serve as CTH’s senior technology voice with owners, partners, brands, and vendors
Infrastructure & Applications
- Oversee the design, reliability, and performance of enterprise infrastructure, including cloud platforms, networks, property-level systems, and end-user computing.
- Lead selection, integration, and optimization of core hospitality systems, including:
- PMS, POS, spa, golf, and resort systems
- CRM, marketing, loyalty, and guest engagement platforms
- ERP, finance, HRIS, and payroll systems
- Telephone, media and communication systems
- Ensure seamless system interoperability across unique property types, branded hotels, and independent hotels and residence operating platform.
- Establish standards for application lifecycle management, data architecture, and vendor performance.
- Manage technology budgets, ROI analysis, and vendor contracts with a focus on scalability and cost efficiency.
- Seamlessly execute property transitions through preparation, excellent communication, best-in-class customer service.
- Prepare technology budgets for transitions, developments and openings of all assets under management by CTH.
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Drive CoralTree’s information security and cybersecurity strategy, ensuring protection of guest, employee, and owner data.
- Establish and enforce security policies, incident response plans, and disaster recovery/business continuity frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards, including:
- PCI
- Data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, state-level regulations)
- Brand, owner, and franchise technology requirements
- Lead risk assessments, penetration testing, and third-party security evaluations.
- Educate leadership and staff on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
Leadership
- Champion the CTH values within the Home Office team and property level leaders.
- Provide executive leadership and management to the portfolios IT leaders and team members
- Active engagement as a Round Table member in shaping the direction of the company, culture and performance of CT.
- Communicate and collaborate throughout all levels of the organization.
- Deep curiosity and passion around AI and its impact on the hospitality industry.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing technology organization.
- Establish clear governance, prioritization, and communication frameworks between Home Office and property teams.
- Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Commercial Services, People Services.
- Excellent communication skills to key constituents: team, peers, ownership groups, vendor partners, and industry network
- Present regularly to executive leadership, owners, and property level teams on technology strategy, risk, and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including senior-level roles (CTO, VP of Technology, CIO).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or similar preferred.
- Strong preference for experience in hospitality, lodging, resorts, and multi-property operations.
- Proven track record leading enterprise technology transformation in complex, decentralized environments.
- Deep knowledge of hospitality technology applications, Cloud infrastructure and SaaS platforms, and Cybersecurity and compliance frameworks.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology investments to financial and operational outcomes.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Salary range: $250,000 - $275,000/yr. + bonus
Location: CoralTree Home Office in Englewood, CO
