About the Role
This is a strategic, commercial leadership role, where you will be engineering the engine of a high-growth, acquisition-grade enterprise where every dollar of technology investment must return $3+ in margin expansion or revenue acceleration. Automation and AI are not secondary goals — they are the opening mandate and the core performance requirement of this role.
This is not your traditional technology leadership role, this role will be working within an organisation where the Chief Technology Officer is the primary lever for margin expansion and the architect of an enterprise that a global acquirer would want to integrate rather than rebuild.
The CTO's mandate is structured around three strategic pillars. Each pillar represents a distinct domain of accountability, and together they form the complete scope of the role.
Pillar 1: Automation, Agent-ification & EBITDA Optimisation
Pillar 2: Scale Architecture — M&A Integration & International Expansion
Pillar 3: Product & Revenue Acceleration
Ideal background :
- 10+ years in technology leadership roles (CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Technology, or Lead Architect) within high-growth SaaS or regulated environments.
- Proven track record of linking technology to commercial outcomes, particularly EBITDA growth, margin expansion, and operational leverage.
- Deep, practical experience deploying AI and automation technologies at scale to drive business process transformation and measurable cost reduction.
- M&A and systems integration experience in a high-growth environment, with a demonstrated ability to create and execute technology integration playbooks.
- Enterprise architecture capability: the ability to design, build, and document scalable, modular, enterprise-grade platforms that are secure, reliable, and acquisition-ready.
- Experience operating in a regulated environment (education, finance, or healthcare) with compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
- International platform experience: building or scaling technology platforms across multiple currencies, languages, and regulatory frameworks.
- Executive communication: the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise business language for the CEO, board, and potential acquirers.
