Job Summary
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for driving the company's Engineering design, new product introduction and product strategy for our power generation and Natural Gas Engine product lines. This role ensures that product innovation, engineering excellence, digital infrastructure, and enterprise systems support business strategy and drive competitive advantage and operational efficiency in the power solutions markets. The CTO leads the engineering and IT teams, leads power product strategy, manages associated budgets, evaluates and implements new systems, and stays ahead of industry trends to maintain competitive advantage in the power solutions industry. As a strategic partner to the executive leadership team, the CTO plays a critical role in shaping the organization’s growth, digital transformation, product strategy and long-term success.
Essential Duties
- Directs the strategic design, acquisition, management, and commercialization of power product line.
- Monitors and analyzes technology and trends that could improve the company's power products and performance.
- Guide capital planning from an engineering and technology perspective, including lifecycle management, modernization, and asset-replacement decisions.
- Chair technical review boards and major project gate reviews.
- Develop and execute the company’s overall technology and product strategy in alignment with business objectives including customer satisfaction, market differentiation, and revenue growth.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative power solutions and products and ensures alignment across the organization.
- Oversee the company’s technology infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
- Manage and mentor engineering, IT, and technical operations teams to promote high performance and collaboration.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic planning, and organizational growth.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data security, privacy regulations, and technology standards.
- Communicate power product vision and initiatives clearly across departments and to stakeholders, including the board of directors.

Qualifications
Education
Required
- Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited university.
Experience
Required
- 15 years of experience preferred in technology and engineering leadership roles.
- 5 years of experience in executive or senior leadership roles.
- Honorably discharged service veterans are preferred.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Lead both Engineering (product design, development, validation, manufacturing support, product lifecycle) and IT (infrastructure, digital systems, cybersecurity, enterprise applications) organizations.
- Mastery of corporate strategy, governance, and global business environments to align initiatives with organizational goals.
- Deep understanding of investor expectations, and economic trends to inform strategic technology investments.
- Knowledge of legal, ethical, and regulatory frameworks impacting technology, data privacy, cybersecurity, and corporate operations.
- Leads enterprise IT strategy, including infrastructure, networks, cloud services, cyber security, data analytics, and business applications (ERP, PLM, CRM)
- Visionary leadership with the ability to define and execute long-term strategy that drives business growth.
- Exceptional board-level communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Partner with executives in Operations, Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Finance to align technology investments with business priorities.
- Talent stewardship and culture shaping skills to attract, retain, and develop high-performing teams.
- Ability to provide strategic foresight and guide the organization through complex technological and market shifts.
- Capacity to integrate technology and product strategy with corporate objectives, financial planning, and risk management.
- Facilitate communication and planning across Engineering, IT and business units to ensure technology supports strategic outcomes.
- Capability to mentor and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance.
- Must be able to fluently speak, write, and read in English.

Additional Job Requirements
