Position: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
We are seeking an experienced and visionary CTO to lead Morabitox’s technology strategy and product development. The CTO will play a critical role in driving the growth of our crypto exchange platform by ensuring high performance, security, and innovation. This is a full-time role based in Prague, with the flexibility of partial remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company’s technology vision, roadmap, and architecture for crypto exchange services
- Oversee the design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of our digital platforms, APIs, and backend infrastructure
- Ensure robust cybersecurity measures and compliance with MiCA and EU data protection requirements (GDPR)
- Lead a high-performing development team, fostering innovation and best practices in agile software delivery
- Collaborate with compliance, product, and business teams to deliver technology solutions aligned with regulatory and market requirements
- Evaluate emerging technologies, blockchain protocols, and industry trends to maintain a competitive advantage
- Oversee cloud infrastructure, database management, and system scalability to ensure uptime and reliability
- Establish DevOps, CI/CD, and quality assurance processes for faster and secure product releases
- Report directly to the CEO and advise the Board of Directors on technology-related opportunities and risks
What We Expect from You
- Proven experience as CTO, Head of Technology, or senior engineering leader in fintech, crypto, or financial services
- Strong expertise in blockchain technologies, distributed systems, and smart contract integrations
- Hands-on experience with cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cybersecurity best practices
- Solid knowledge of software engineering principles, microservices, and database systems (SQL/NoSQL)
- Familiarity with European regulatory requirements related to crypto assets, AML/KYC standards, and MiCA compliance
- Exceptional leadership, team-building, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
