The role
Based in La Jolla, California, the Chief Technology Officer leads R&D in partnership with the CIO and sets the technical strategy supporting Palomar’s corporate vision.
What you will do
- Lead application development, data and analytics, and strategic technology vendor partnerships.
- Own the technology and data roadmap, annual budget, delivery performance, and technology KPIs.
- Develop and execute technical strategy, including AI adoption, emerging technology evaluation, and governance.
- Partner with business leaders and communicate priorities, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership and the board.
What you bring
- Executive technology leadership experience; prior CTO or comparable leadership experience is preferred.
- Experience leading complex technology and digital transformation initiatives and developing technology budgets.
- Leadership, communication, and team-development skills, plus knowledge of cloud platforms, mobile applications, microservices, .NET, C#, SQL Server, Node.js, and Java.
Compensation
USD 275,000–410,000 annually, plus bonus potential and long-term incentive participation. Final offers vary by experience and qualifications.
