A property owner with a portfolio of buildings has a practical question: which repairs belong in next year’s budget, and which can wait? At Proprty.ai, our models estimate the condition and remaining life of building components, software turns those estimates into maintenance plans, and our AI agent, Tily, helps owners analyze their portfolios and take action!

Our product went live in 2024 and is used by customers in Denmark, Norway and Germany. We reached profitability by the end of 2025 and raised DKK 21 million in April 2026, and we are not planning to stop there!

What you get to shape

The team and the code. You’ll lead four engineers and keep building core features. You might coach a developer through a tricky problem in the morning and ship a feature yourself that afternoon. As the team grows, you’ll help hire the people you’ll work alongside.

How we build and ship. You’ll guide the platform’s architecture and how we test and release. Our goal is to ship several times a week while keeping the product reliable and secure. When an urgent customer request competes with longer-term platform work, you’ll help the team with day-to-day prioritization on what comes first and why.

Shape what Tily can do next. Our data scientists work with models trained on building data covering millions of square meters. You’ll work with them to bring those models into production and draw on feedback from property owners, Sales and Customer

Success to decide which problems Tily should tackle next.

Change how we use AI ourselves. We use Cursor and Perplexity today. You’ll have room to try new workflows, keep the ones that help us build better software, and drop the ones that just give us more code to review.

We talk a lot (in a good way). When a problem gets tricky, we pull up a chair and pair on it. We like having a laugh while we figure things out.

What you’ll bring?

You’ve led an engineering team at a startup or scale-up while the product, the team and the rules were still taking shape. You know when to open a pull request yourself, when to let another engineer make the call, and which shortcut will come back to bite you two releases from now.

You bring curiosity about our industry, our customers' problems, and the business acumen to understand how our product delivers business value, so that you can help facilitate features that drive outcomes and make our users' lives easier.

We’re AI-first (the name’s a bit of a giveaway). If you’ve built an agent or shipped an AI feature, we’d love to hear what happened after the demo. What did customers trust it to do, and where did they want the controls back? You’ll get to make those calls with Tily and figure out where AI helps our own engineers ship better software.

The core of what we consider for a candidate

You’ve led an engineering team, coached developers, and hired people to join it.
You’re keen to build AI agents that customers can put to work and to explore where AI makes your own team more effective.
You still build full-stack features with React, TypeScript, and SQL. You can take a feature from technical design through thoughtful user experience to release, and measure what happens when customers get their hands on it.

Your perspective on the role of a CTO as a thought leader.

Where we work

We spend 4 days a week together in our office near Rådhuspladsen. You’ll need to be based in the Copenhagen area, as we can’t offer relocation or visa sponsorship for this role.
