Tao Climate is on a mission to decarbonise aviation and revolutionise carbon removal - and we’re inviting a fractional CTO to help build the future.
We are creating a breakthrough platform that uses AI, Google Cloud, and Earth Engine to measure, report, and verify carbon removal in real-time, empowering a whole new generation of sustainable solutions, starting with hemp: nature’s most powerful carbon removal crop.
Our MVP is ready to be built - the architecture, user experience, and market positioning are in place. Now, we need a visionary, hands-on technical leader to join us at the tipping point.
What You'll Own:
- Lead and deliver the build of our MVP on Google Cloud, leveraging Earth Engine, GKE, BigQuery, AI Platform, and Cloud IoT Core.
- Shape the technology strategy for a scalable, API-led platform that connects carbon removal projects with global markets.
- Collaborate with our founders and early users (airlines, airports, growers) to rapidly iterate and deploy.
- Hire and manage future tech talent as the company scales.
- Ensure the platform’s architecture is modular, secure, scalable - and ready for world-changing impact.
You Might Be a Perfect Fit If You:
- Have deep experience with Google Cloud Platform, AI model deployment, and satellite or IoT data integration.
- Have built (or led) a scalable tech platform - bonus points for climate, agri-tech, Earth observation, or FinTech backgrounds.
- Are a technical leader who thrives in startup environments: agile, decisive, energetic.
- Are passionate about using your skills to fight climate change and make a tangible difference.
- Are happy to roll up your sleeves: design, architect, code, mentor - whatever it takes to win.
- Believe in the power of nature-based solutions like hemp to decarbonise fast.
